This book explores the life of seventeen year old Saffron Hayes and how a school project leads her to uncover that her mother - who she previously thought to be dead- is alive.
This leads Saffron down an angry path as she questions every family memory she has ever made.
She then finds herself looking for support and guidance from Tom, her friend how is two years her senior.

I did find this book quite an easy read however, quite unbelievable? How could a father of three carry this secret from his children for all those years? Saffron’s brothers do not seem to be at all bothered after the discovery that their mother is alive- again not the normal reaction you would expect.
I did get annoyed at Saffron throughout the book as she is a spoiled brat however I think the author captured what teens are like nowadays- making everything about them
