This book was a real eye opener following the life of Saffron a well off girl who discovers her dad has lied to her for 10 years about her mum. At 17 she is shocked to find out her family has hidden a secret, a secret which makes her leave home in search of the answers. She ends up on the street, a world she never imagined she could be part of. He oldest but mostly vacant friend Tom fails to help her when she needs him the most. Saffron's life is spiralling out of control as she cuts all contact with home.
It was a story which started off with what could be described as a common reaction: a 17 year old running away from home full of emotions and thinking she knows best. It showed how easily life can spiral out of control. I really enjoyed the book and would consider reading more from this author.
