Historical fiction is not usually my genre but I found myself enjoying this extract and wanting to find out more, beyond the extract. It was enjoyable enough that it may just hold my interest for a whole novel and I may give the other books in this series a chance - opening my world up to a new genre or new author entirely. I usually don't like these kinds of front covers as they don't appeal to me but this particular cover suits the genre perfectly. I'm sure this book would be perfect for fans of this genre or this author.
