The descriptions in this book are so good that you feel as if you are being transported back to the 18th century. The characters are well drawn and through their eyes you experience the times . The leading character of Madeleine has experienced many bad things and now she is free but what is the purpose behind her freedom and that is where the thrills start. What a read.
