Having been impressed by Nicola Pryce's knowledge of herbal medicine in A Cornish Betrothal, I anticipate she will have thoroughly researched care for 'mad people' and the status of French prisoners of war. Right from the start we encounter secrets and spies; viciousness and villains; pitiful captivity and bewilderment. I know I will thoroughly enjoy another well-written and exciting historical novel.
