I always feel a bit put off by the covers on this sort of story but seeing as I had won a copy I did read a previous book in the series "A Cornish Betrothal" and quite enjoyed it. I found the first look of "The Cornish Captive" ok as I am interested in how people were historically construed as mad in the asylums. I don't think that is the main focus of the book though but would be interested to read on to see what happens to the main character after she is rescued.
