From reading the First Look I was able to see that Nicola Pryce's writing style is engaging, I'm not a lover of historical romances, even those set in Cornwall with Bodmin Moor as a backdrop! However, even had I been the fact that this is the sixth book in the series would have put me off because, no matter how well-written, I'm sure I'd find it too frustrating trying to work out what had preceded this latest story.
As for the cover, I have a particular aversion to this style so this would immediately put me off if I noticed the novel in a bookshop! However, as it's clear that Nicola Pryce has a huge following of loyal, enthusiastic readers, I'm sure they'll be delighted that the odds of them being lucky in this draw will be improved by my withdrawal from it!
