I find the cover of this book far too old-fashioned and simple. Nothing about it makes me curious about the story it contains or strikes me as interesting.The blurb and first impression also made me less interested in this book.
The blurb does not give enough information about the story and this makes me think that the story is not very complex or creative. It gives me the impression that this story has nothing new to add to already oversaturated historical romance genre.
The first impression lacks the suspense or mystery I would need to pull me into the story. The main character also doesn’t strike me as a character I can connect or relate with so I can’t see myself liking her very much.
