This isn't usually a book that I would read purely because it is set so far back in history but I would be open to reading it. Madeleine's imprisonment is somehow false however, what is the other side to the story ? The character of Captain Pierre is sudden and I wonder why Madeleine is so important for someone to scheme to imprison her.
