Sixth in the series and the comparison to Bridgerton put me off!

I’d normally be quite tempted by a saga novel and something to lose myself in but when I saw that this book was sixth in a series it did put me off a little. That and the comparison to Bridgerton, which made me think that the focus of this novel might be largely on romance, and I feel I’m probably better passing on this one. It seems like a decent read however and the extract was very readable.
