I don't always enjoy historical fiction, however this one seems to have so much going on with it that I want to read more.
The fact that she was imprisoned for many years in mad houses particularly appeals to me as a mental health nurse and having read documentation of mental health provision from past years it will be interesting to see how this is portrayed.
The portrayal of the heroine on the cover makes her look contemperary despite her clothes for some reason.
