An enjoyable read
Like the previous book in the series (The Cornish Betrothal), The Cornish Captive by Nicola Pryce was an enjoyable read. I really enjoyed the storyline and I found the characters (particularly Rowan) to be very interesting. I really enjoyed the mystery surrounding the death of the main character Madeleine's husband. Whilst I would say that this book wasn't particularly memorable or unique, it was definitely a fun read to pass the time and I would be very willing to read all of Nicola Pryce's future works.
I don't often read historical fiction since I usually prefer fantasy books but I am sure that fans of historical fiction will absolutely adore this book and the rest of the books in this series!!
I really love the cover of this book (and all the previous covers in the series) and I think that the cover represents the book rather well.
