I couldn't really get into this book for some reason and did nearly give up on it after a few chapters, but I stuck with it until the end.
Normally I enjoy historical fiction and I did warm to Madeline the main character and was determined to find out why she's been locked away in a madhouse for fourteen long years but for some reason it wasn't a book that I was eager to get back to when I had a few minutes to myself. Can't put my finger on why it wasn't really grabbing me as from what I've read of the other reviews everyone else seed to love it.
But it would be a pretty boring world if we all liked exactly the same thing wouldn't it?
I will hang on to the book and re-read it some time in the future and who knows? Maybe then I will get into it, I certainly hope so.
I think I will start looking out for the previous books in the series and read them and see if that helps
