Was really looking forward to reading this one and it hasn’t let me down. Madeline was a young bride brought over from France and she thought herself madly in love with her new husband but he had lots of secrets that he kept from her, one day soon after their marriage she finds him drowned in the river everyone says he took his own life but madeleine thinks differently so the new owner of the estate has her put in the “madhouse” to keep her quite this is in the 1800’s. For fourteen years she is moved every two years and her name changed to keep her from been found, then one day a so called friend of her brothers comes to free her but is he who he seems?? They take a coach to madeleines old home to await instructions on how to get her back to France but a few surprises happen once they arrive to been helped by a fellow coach passenger Pierre and the so called villain Tom Pearce all is not what it seems will she find answers and love??
