I am a huge fan of historical fiction and love to lose myself in events of the past. After previously reading Nicola Pryce's recent book, The Cornish Bethrothal, I was intrigued to read her next book.
I enjoyed the story line of the book and the intrigue that surrounded her husbands murder.
The characters were varied and well written and you could easily place yourself within the story at that time in history.
I liked the addition of the letters within the text of the story, which broke up the prose of the book and was a nice addition to further see into the story and the character.
The ending of the story was good and was fitting to the characters involved.
This was overall a good historical read and was a nice addition to the Cornish series of Nicola Pryce's work. I look forward to reading more from her in the future and hope to see another historical fiction book also.
