I was really looking forward to reading this historical fiction "the cornish captive" and I was not dissapointed. I really enjoy this genre of book as they are often heart warming and easy reads- that is what this book was. I have given it 3 stars, mainly because it was quite predicatable and didn't wow me, however this may be because I have read so many of this genre by now.
I will say that the writing was really easy to read and it flowed well. It did not take me long to read this book and I did thoroughly enjoy. It would recommend it to anyone who enjoyes the genre of historical fiction. The characters were loveable and did was to see what happened to the "cornish captive"!
What makes it even more brilliant is that the author was a chemotherapy nurse. I am also a chemotherapy nurse and would love to write a book one day so it has given me inspiration to do so!
