I didn't have very high expectations of this book to be honest. It looks to be another of those historical romances that flitter by and end up in cheaper bookstores. It started well I must admit and I was captivated by the initial idea however it has far too many characters for me that flew by in one sentence and I forgot very quickly who they were related to and what their purpose was.
I'm afraid I did not finish this book. I am disappointed as I felt the story could have been a good one.
The writing style is confusing and lost me at points. It reads like a historical romance but with some thriller elements.
The front cover is awful, I wouldn't buy it based on the cover alone and j felt the blurb does not lend itself well to the story inside.
I hope others love this story more than I did but I'm afraid this one was not for me this time. I shall pass to a friend to see what she thinks.
