It seemed odd to be starting a book with the dreaded C word in the title when it is only September! This is a gentle tale of Claire who is trying to find herself, and Sam the vet who will no doubt help!
The characters are well described and come alive from the page. Claire's despair and her mothers over bearing ways are soon evident and the story develops at a gentle, but not too slow, pace.
