With everything going on in the world all I needed was to curl up with a good book full of romance and positivity. This is exactly what I got from “The Country Village Christmas”. The book follows Claire, a 40 something recently divorced, as she is forced to return home to live with her mum without any plan of what she is going to do next. Along the way she discovers Sam, the local handsome village vet and after a bumpy start it seems that being back at home might not be so bad after all.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters and could really picture myself in the heart of Little Bramble at Christmas time. Whilst the plot is perhaps a little predictable it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story and I look forward to reading future books in this series.
Overall a lovely cosy read, pop the kettle on for a hot chocolate and lose yourself with Claire and co.
