A festive story set in a lovely country village
I love a festive read and what is not to love about a story set at one of my favourite times of year.
During this story we get to meet some lovely characters including Sam who grows close to Clare during the story. I found the story warm and full of community spirit.
Clare is at a crossroads following her divorce and returning home is the perfect opportunity for her to move on and rediscover herself and leave the shadow of her previous life behind and realise she is more than a mother and an ex wife.
Set in a lovely location, this was an easy read where you could just settle into the story and turn the pages as Clare throws herself into planning the Christmas fayre after returning to her childhood village after losing her job and selling her home.
I enjoyed this story and will look out for more by this author in the future as this was my first book by this author.
