The Country Village Christmas show is a very gentle and heartwarming novel perfect to cosy up to on the sofa. It has brought a little bit of Christmas magic.

This book is very easy to read and the first chapters are full of raw emotion. Clare, the main character, is struggling with being recently divorced, selling her home and her son being away at University. However, throughout you see Clare rediscovering herself, finding a place of belonging and embarking on a new life. The book has a strong message that it's never too late to go back home, rekindle old friendships, reconnect with family, start over and to learn to fall in love again.

Although I enjoyed this book very much, I did feel it lost it's way a little in the middle. Also, I found the title a little hard to remember and was not entirely sure that the Christmas show was at the centre of the story as the title suggested.

Overall, it was a very warm book and was an enjoyable read. The cover of the book is also really pretty and that alone would tempt me to pick up the book.
