Clare is recently divorced, and has moved to live with mum back in Little Bramble, a village she grew up in. While adjusting to life living with her mum and her Great Dane, Goliath, Clare finds herself organising the village’s Christmas show. Does Clare end up discovering herself in this process - finding happiness, maybe love?
This is an easy, funny and heartwarming read which is perfect for getting into the festive mood. There are lots of warm and fuzzy descriptions of hot chocolate, hearty log fires, blankets - which makes this a great read to snuggle up in a cosy nook to read with a hot drink 😊 I liked the characters and the overall storyline.
This isn’t my usual go-to genre as I really love in-depth character development, which this book didn’t capture. Having said that there wasn’t anything I didn’t enjoy in this story.
Overall a great festive read which I would recommend to read over the holidays!
