I wasn’t sure what to expect from this, the title and cover didn’t really appeal to me particularly but, when I read the first look I realised it wasn’t going to be as I had thought and that I needed to give it a go. I found it a little slow to get into but once I did I really enjoyed A country village Christmas show. I’d liken it to the cosy feeling of drinking a warm, hot chocolate with marshmallows, sitting by a fire with your best pyjamas on! There’s romance, friendship, family, togetherness and heart-warming relationships as well as addressing issues, it certainly doesn’t feel a soppy book. I found myself picking the book back up throughout the day because I wanted to follow the characters and find out what was going to happen. I am really pleased I gave this a try because it definitely exceeded my expectations- the perfect Christmas season read!
