I love Christmas, and a fantastic Christmas book is a must to kick start the season for me.
Cathy Lake has certainly fufilled that wonderful Christmas feeling, with lots of sparkle and cheer, but with a wonderfully warm cosy feel.
Clare, a recently divorced mum with a grown up son has dedicated her whole life looking after her family, decides that now is the time for her to enjoy herself. Clare, ends up running a Christmas village show, in Little Bramble her childhood home along with her mum Elaine and her great dane goliath. A real heart warming story, perfect for the cold winter nights when you want to cuddle under a blanket and forget about the world outside. I would highly recommend if your after the happy ever after kind of book. I will look forward to other books in future from Cathy Lake, as this debut novel certainly did not disappoint.
