I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the way Claire and Sam's stories were told separately and then bit by bit through the book started to merge so that their stories became one. I think all of the characters developed well through the book and the family relationships between Claire, her mum and her son and then Sam and his sister were beautifully told. The Christmas show wasn't as much the main focus of the book as it was an underlying themes that the book worked towards. The book in full was a genuinely heart warming story. It felt very true to life with Claire feeling she had given up so much of herself to a relationship and feeling the need to find her own path in life. How her relationship with her mum had played it's part in her adult life and in turn how her relationship affected Kyle. This was definitely a book to enjoy wrapped up in warm comfy clothes with a hot chocolate by the fire during the festive season
