On cold winter's evening's just before Christmas there is nothing like curling up with a good festive read and this one is lovely! A story of community, relationships and love.
Clare has reached a point in her life when she wants to make a new start, having recently divorced her husband she returns to her mother's house in Little Bramble, the village she grew up in. Enjoying time in the village, meeting people from her past and walking her mother's big dog Goliath, she comes up with a plan to cheer her mother up, by putting on the Christmas Show. The performance not only brings the newly built village hall to life, but brings together the different characters in the village.
Clare wants and needs a friend and some love in her life and her return to the village seems to be bringing her that as well.
I really enjoyed reading this book, it is a lovely cosy story, a perfect winter read!
