The story centres around Claire. She has just got a divorce from her husband. He decided he needed time to be on his own to find himself and learn who is is........she is baffled. She is left alone with her son. After contemplating her fate she decides the place place for her to be is a place she knows best - the small village where she grew up. So she moves. In time she meets a new man , a vet named Sam. Life seems fine once again Claire's mother Elaine is quite a character but throughout the book she grows on you. As you read through the pages her story comes to light and you begin to understand her more. Then there is the hilarious character known as Goliath...a great dane dog...such a fabulous name for such a huge hound. He gets into all sorts of scrapes which have you laughing out loud and of course he is the postman's best friend ! - read and you will understand what I mean !!
