The storyline follows a typical plot of middle aged divorcee, unsure of whether to begin a romance with a hunky new fella she’s bumped into, literally.
Clare moves back in with her mother, unsure where to turn to after divorcing in her 40’s. Looking to find herself again in her hometown, it seems as though handsome vet Sam, has found her first. Is she ready for a new romance so soon after husband Jason leaving, or does she have the independent single life she feels she should have?
A sweet read, full of festive cheer. However, as much as I enjoyed relationships Clare has with her Mum, Son and Sam, it was actually her friendship with Jenny that intrigued me more, and I wish we’d have seen more of what was to come next for Jenny. (Trying to write that spoiler free is tricky!)
Overall, a warm read, perfect for a cosy night in within the festive period.
