This book made me so happy. It follows a woman called Clare who is recently divorced and has to move back in with her mother in the town that she grew up in. Clare is feeling very lost after the breakdown of her marriage, being made redundant from her job,and her son going off to university. But after moving back to Little Bramble, she reconnects with her mum and old friends, and with the help of her mum's loveable Great Dane, Goliath, she starts to find herself again. She was only supposed to be in Little Bramble for a few weeks while she got back on her feet, but it's not long before she's wondering if she could stay longer.
I loved this book. It made me feel happy and sad and there were so many amazing characters who were all important in their own way. I really struggled to put this down and it's one that I will definitely read again and again. It was a lovely feel good story with a nice ending. I give it 4 stars.
