This is a lovely heart-warming, wholesome, romantic book. The story is very simple and is set in an idyllic British countryside village. It's the perfect book to read sat inside on a cold evening with a glass of wine. The characters aren't too complex and you really get to know them and want them to be happy. The language is a little stilted at times and I felt that sometimes the storyline lost excitement sometimes.
Some of the plot links were a little tenuous, but overall the story flowed very well. You really got a sense of how the characters felt and it was easy to follow along with the story and dip in and out without forgetting what was going on or getting confused.
Would recommend for anyone who loves to read romantic fiction. This would make a great Christmas gift/stocking filler/Secret Santa present for someone who loves to read and who loves Christmas.
