I have started on my Christmas reading and couldn't resist the cover of this book.
I pretty much can't resist a lovely Christmas snowy cover and this ticked all the boxes for me.
The characters are well written and would love to read more about them (I was happy to learn there is another book in the series.....!) and I loved how we learnt more of their stories throughout the book.
I really enjoyed the emphasis on family, that the author wrote beautifully about and kept me turning the pages to see how things would develop with the various storyline we are treated to.
As we follow Claire following her recent divorce and moving back home, I loved how she blossomed and found her actual role in life as not just a wife and mother but as a friend and member of the community who is determined to get the spark back in her mother and the other villagers lives.
Lovely and heartfelt- I enjoyed immensely.
