I thought the idea of this one sounded perfect for me overall it was a bit of a let down. The story was very predictable which I could have gotten on board with as who doesn't love snuggling up with something where they know all will work out well in the end at Christmas time but I felt it was 200 pages too long and that a lot of the descriptions were unnecessary (the author described the full process of having highlights put in her hair and what a bag for life was, what hers looked like and how she unfolded it, non of which was necessary to the story).
It is over half way through the book when the Christmas show idea is finally mentioned, before that it is just the boring life and back story of the main character who is soooo whiny she drove me mad!
I did like the character of the vet and the son, they were the redeeming factors that pulled this from a 1 star to a 2.
