This was the perfect Christmas read. I thought all the characters were brilliant, particularly Goliath the dog who added a touch if humour.
The story unfolded at a nice pace despite being a little predictable at times.
I enjoyesd the little twist towards the end regarding the fire at the village hall and it added a little bit extra to what could have been just another Christmas romance novel. I enjoyed the style of writing as it flowed nicely and wasn't overly complicated. The chapters were a nice length and the whole book, including the cover just had a really nice, festive feel good factor. I would quite like a follow up to this book to see how things worked out for all of the characters in this book and I would most certainly read more books by this author.
