This book was just what I needed it enveloped me like a big cosy blanket. Clare returns to her family home in Little Brambles after her divorce and being made redundant. She feels lost and lacking direction and hopes being with her Mum will help. Slowly she starts to heal, rekindling old childhood friendships and gaining perspective on her life. I loved the village life and characters of Little Brambles. Clare decides to bring back the village Christmas Show which is really lovely though nothing goes as planned. Sam the local vet is also evaluating his life, after spending his time looking after his disabled sister he becomes lost when she falls in love and moves away leaving him on his own for the first time. He's forced to start looking after himself for a change. It is a romantic story with really likeable characters. The Christmas setting was lovely and a really feel good read.
