It took me ages to get through this book, I nearly gave up a couple of times, I know that happens when I'm just not that invested in the characters, they seemed a little bland and ordinary.

Although the main character had a lot of similarities to me (yes, I did just call myself bland and ordinary!) I just felt like the story ran it's course, nothing wild or out of the blue.

You could nearly tell what was going to happen next, just a bit too predictable for me.

The description of the village and setting was nice, but nothing out of the ordinary for a 'Christmas' book.

It was good that the main character got back on her feet after splitting from her husband but I just felt like there should have been more to the story.

Not sure if I'd read another book by this author, maybe if it had really good reviews I would but it would need to be an amazing storyline.
