I was attracted to the cover of this book and having not read the author Cathy Lake before, I read the introduction and thought I would see whether it was for me. I enjoy a romance and a festive theme and this one hit the spot. It's a rare treat to find a book where, although maybe a little predictable you know you can have an enjoyable read without any scary dramas! The main character is Claire who returns home to live with her mother Elaine, in the village where she grew up. In order to occupy herself, Claire decides to join in with the village activities and and make a fresh start, and in doing so she is able to make plans and friends, I don't want to spoil the ending but the reader can probably guess what happens next! I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend this book to others if you enjoy a good story even if a little predictable.
