Unfortunately i struggled to get into this book, but not from anything wrong with the book itself.
The storyline is interesting, and the characters are intriguing, the writing style is well done.
Unfortunately I just found myself unable to engage with the story, and would go a few days at a time without picking it back up. Although I did finish the book in the end, It just wasntrsomethign I found myself enjoying.
I previously enjoyed books such as Memoirs of a Geisha, and so assumed that i would enjoy this. However, I found the much as with “The private papers of eastern jewel” i struggled to emgage with the story, finding more that I was reading it out of an interest in wanting to know the conclusion, and not so much finding any enjoyment in the book itself.
So perhaps, just not my genre. But as I have explained, the book itself is very well done.
