a bit overhyped
I honestly think this book was a bit overhyped but it’s still a lovely read. I love the storyline even if it’s a bit infuriating at times. I think the plot overall was a bit predictable but it was still exciting enough to make you wanna keep reading. It’s definitely a fantasy book which is not normally my favourite type of book anyway but i do love the characters in it.
My favourite character has to be Cardan because of how misunderstood he is. At the same time i have a love-hate relationship with him because he can be a bit of an asshat sometimes but i think overall he means well.
But one thing i will say is prepare to be angry at Locke because he is the sneakiest person and i genuinely have no words to describe how much i despise him. And taryn is infuriating as well. I lowkey admire Jude, she’s amazing at manipulating people and tries her hardest at everything.
Overall it’s a good book but not amazing.
