This book was such a great set up for a new series and I can’t wait to see where it goes. This is my first Holly Black book and I have to save she definitely lives up to her queen of faeries name. The world was built up so well and the story itself went in directions I didn’t guess it would (in the best way possible).
The only issue I would say is that I found it to be a little slow at first but I think this is just because it was setting up the world and the characters. The story ended in a really great place and I hope the second book jumps right back into the action where we left off. If it carries on in the style of the second half of the book it will be great.
I really enjoyed this book and I’ll definitely be picking up the sequel as soon as it comes out.
