Jude was just 7 when her parents were murdered and her and her sisters were stolen away to live in the faerie world. A world were nothing is what it seems and every little thing could lead to a bad ending. But despite all this, ten years later and still Jude wants nothing more than to belong in this world, but the faerie world isn’t made for humans.
I loved this YA fantasy. It has all the things I look for in this type of book. It has a beautifully written world and a fantastic back story, an intriguing plot and of course really, really angsty love.
The highlight of this book for me was the characters, each one had their own story, their own goals and own conflicts. There is a romance in this book that I am living for. If you’re a fan of Holly Black’s other works or Cassandra Clare, I highly recommend this book to you.
