I honestly can't praise 'The Cruel Prince' highly enough! I've always been a bit overwhelmed by adult fantasy books due to the sheer size of them and the quantity of new, fantastical words. However, after a recommendation by a friend, I decided to take baby steps out of my comfort zone and try this YA fantasy book; I'm so glad I did!
I found the storyline to be gripping in which the main character, Jude, has to navigate her way through the cruel and dangerous world of Faerie as a human girl.
Before long, Jude finds herself intrigued by the world and people around her. One person in particular catches her attention; Cardan, Jude's cruel classmate and the youngest Prince of Faerie, and Jude soon realises that there is a fine line between love and hate.
I highly recommend this book (and the rest of the series) to fantasy lovers and newbies alike.
