Holly Black is the queen of creating magnificent worlds of which we can get lost in. I was absolutely hooked from the start, completely invested in both the worlds and the characters we came across.
This was my first faerie read, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I cannot explain how much I enjoyed it. The magic, the drama, the suspense, it was all there.
The story line was great, we follow Jude who is fierce, yet vulnerable, which makes her relatable and lovable. Holly spends a lot time and effort with showing us the relationships between the characters in this book, which I feel plays a fundamental part in our experience as a reader.
There is a new drama in every chapter, keeping us on our toes and wanting more.
