I completely loved this book!! It is an amazing fantasy book that is easy to get stuck into. It is full of plot twists and suspense. I really enjoyed the characters in this story. Jude is a great protagonist – both fierce and vulnerable, which makes her very realistic considering her circumstances. The relationships between characters are so complex, especially the family dynamics. The way Jude views family is very unique in my opinion. This was overall at all like what I expected it to be. I am actually shocked by how much I enjoyed this. If I'm being honest, I didn't think I would. Holly Black's writing is amazing in every way imaginable, and she is fantastic at bringing such a unreal world to life. None of it felt made up. There were plenty of ups and downs along the way and kept you on the edge of your seat through the entire book. I loved it!
