Despite how pretty the cover is, I was very intrigued by the storyline. it was filled with vivid imagery throughout the whole book. It included a wide range of characters, which were described beautifully, and I love how none of the characters were perfect. They all made mistakes and recovered from them, fixing them along the way. THIS INCLUDES JUDE AND CARDAN, the main characters.
I never really enjoyed reading but this was the first book that got me into fantasy fiction and overall it was a rollercoaster of emotions. I will definitely be reading the second book called the wicked king which I am sure is equally amazing.
It really lived up to my expectations and the hype was worth it. once again, I would like to say it was amazingly chaotic and I would 100% totally recommend it, especially if you really enjoy the fantasy and magic genre.
