This entire series was extremely well-written, completely original in bringing together the elements of the human world and the fae world.

The enemies-to-lovers trope is one of my all-time favourites, so it is undeniable that I would probably automatically like any book that can do this trope well. Ignoring this factor, this book was thoroughly enjoyable.

Jude is an ass-kicking female with a lot of sass and power, who has been put in a powerless position (a mortal among the immortal).
Cardan is a narcissistic bad guy with a secret soft side to him, and for that, he owns a small place in my heart.

In the interest of avoiding spoilers, I am just going to comment on how amazing the storyline is, and the fact that it is a must-read for any fantasy lover. I would say it somewhere between young-adult and new-adult fantasy, so will be enjoyable for a wide range of readers.
