This was the first book had a read since childhood and it got me back into my passion for reading. It is action packed and has an amazing story line with twists and turns. I also love how it is from Jude's POV who is a human, feeling like an outcast compared to everyone else. She doesn't settle for any less or try and meet anyone's standards as she is aware that she feels as if she will never fit in unless she makes herself fit in.
It's not a long book but it's very engaging and worth the read.
Cardan's character development is also important in this book as he doesn't change awfully but you can definitely tell a difference by the end of this book.
It also shows powerful women such as Jude who goes against everyone to pursue her dreams and save her kingdom from anyone who attempts to go against her.
There is also some quite violent chapters in this book and it in a sense does show an enemies to lovers but not overly in this book.
