I realise many people say don't judge a book by it's cover, but most of the time I simply can't help myself, a cover draws you in, it makes you want to pick it up, and I was really drawn to this one. I love the contrast, the colouring and the imagery, it doesn't give away too much but definitely got me interested.
Jude is a great main character, she is powerful and intriguing, although I wasn't a huge fan of her at the beginning, I definitely grew to like her. She attempts to live amongst the fae, as a human, but she isn't shown as being weak, she is strong and even scheming.
I was instantly hooked from the beginning, the world that Black has created is so in depth and so magical, I didn't want to put the book down. I absolutely adore enemies to lovers stories and this is no exception, I loved every moment and can't wait to read the rest of the story- I'll be recommending this to everyone I know!
