The Queen of Fairie has done it again! I LOVED this book. I spent the whole time I was reading it sneaking pages wherever I could, even when I was too busy to pick it up (every time my boyfriend went for a wee during movie night. Dedication.)

Full of shocking twists and turns and packed with strong character development, this is an expertly woven story that kept me on edge till the very last word.

We follow three sisters; Jude, Taryn and Vivi who, after watching their parents get brutally murdered, are swept off to the land of Fairie by their parents' murderer where he raises them as his own. Stuck between the mortal world where she comes from and the magical one she was raised in, Jude will do anything to earn her rightful place amongst the Fairie Gentry, who see her as a lesser being. However, she won't get there without a fight. But what is she willing to give up to get what she wants? What if it means giving up everything?

All this accompanied by vicious bulling from the Prince of the Fairies himself? You'd think poor Jude has enough on her plate! But our Jude is anything but weak, she is a highly trained fighter with a strong, determined character. I loved reading about her. She's not afraid to be self-serving and be pragmatic - I'm really excited to see how she reacts to new challenges in future books.

Plus, I need to know what happens to everyone else! (Taryn? Locke? Oak? Cardan? Holly Black, put me out of my misery!).
