The world-building in this story is fantastic! However, as I read through it, I couldn't help but wonder how all those people lived on such small islands. Based on the author's descriptions, it seemed impossible, especially when the main character describes all the islands she can see from a tower.

But despite that, the story itself is truly captivating. It's one of those stories that grabs your attention and doesn't let go until you've read the last word. And even then, you're left wondering what will happen next, how it will all be resolved, and what the consequences will be.

When something unfortunate happens to the characters, or when they're forced to do something they don't want to, your heart is wrenched out of your chest.

I would only say that the prologue and backstory could have been worked on a bit more. It's a bit vague, and the reason for the "why" is sketchy.
