The plot follows Jude and her quest for power against the throne and her and her twin sisters contant belittling and torture at the hands of the fae who despise mortals and see them as slaves and nothing more. Jude possesses a strength driven by her anger towards her foster father Madoc who killed her parents and prince Cardan. Prince Cardan makes it his mission to make life miserable for jude while also fighting any feelings that linger. I personally absolutely love the book and series and cannot find the right words to fully explain my love. Just simply magical, beautiful and horrific.
